Governance

The Institute is a common law association with a constitution serving as its founding document. Periodically, the members in general meeting elects a national executive committee as well as office-bearers. 

Its day-to-day operations are managed by a Chief Executive Officer, supported by a secretariat. The Institute is funded from membership fees and occasional surpluses from member events hosted.

The secretariat is provided by VdW&Co, an association management company based in Sandton.

Branches


The Constitution of the Institute allows for branch networks in all nine provinces of the Republic of South Africa. Each Branch Network is headed up by a chairperson and a local committee.

Local Branches provide opportunities for members to meet and to associate with each other as may be required from time to time.
