Patrons Group
The iLGM Patrons Group consists of the largest commercial and parastatal stakeholders in Local Government, allowing for the kind of access to the iLGM and to municipal managers, mayors and councilors, appropriate to the multi billion rand business relationships that these organisations depend on.
Patron organisations can use this networking platform for relationship building as well as for the delivery of social responsibility programmes and offerings to municipal mangers and their constituencies.
The Patrons Group was created by resolution of the iLGM NEC in early June 2009 as a cornerstone of the current business plan of the organisation. The programme replaces historical ad hoc relationships between the iLGM and large stakeholders, often facilitated and guided by fundraisers rather than by the iLGM leadership.
Membership of the Patrons Group do not involve any form of membership fee, but the group is likely to focus on serious contributions to strengthen Local Government governance and service delivery efforts.

- Mentoring Services for New Municipal Managers
